 How refreshing to attend an AGM that had a real buzz to it. The photograph to the right typifies what this club is about. 24 members with a strong element of ex-Round Tablers who have joined the club in the last few years. In the photograph are from L - R Hugh Aitken who was a founding member on 30th March 1976. Sam Scobie Chairman 2010 - 2012 who seemed a bit perturbed that bthere would be no election at this year's AGM as they serve a 2 year term of office, he decided that it would be a good idea to appoint officers-elect this AGM and confirm the appointments at the next AGM, ergo John Parker was elected (appointed) Chairman Elect. The Club have a safari Burns Supper, each course is taken at a different members house, buses provide the transport between houses. A joint barbecue with Newton Stewart 41 Club is arranged for the summer, and a return event planned, their own barbecue will be on a Friday night rather than a Saturday to avoid conflicting with other events.  |
