Good to attend the AGM where there was some serious discussion after the National Councillor took too long to elicit the voting intentions for the club as he will act as their proxy at the AGM. The highlight of the evening was the presentation to Ronnie Greig with a Past Chairman's jewel in recognition of his sterling work over the last two years. To summarize, briefly, the club thought that Community Welfare and Shelter Boxes should be left to Rotary. And they resolved by an overwhelming majority that the Sports Officer should continue to plan for a wide range of activities and the job should not be renamed as Golf Convenor. |
